About Conversations
Conversations are typically held in my living room, sitting on sofas, chairs and the floor so we can all see each other.

Casual conversations starts as people filter in and we gather around the kitchen island with food, wine, water, kombucha, tea. This gives you a chance to say hello and catch up. Soon, we sit down and put our food aside so we can really gather.

Gathering is intentional. We do a brief meditation to bring us together.

I re-introduce the topic and some thoughts about the safety of our space.

Next are the 'Conversation Starters' - think of it like kindling. We may listen to, watch or even read together. I encourage bringing a notebook to allow you to jot things down - for me writing gives me focus while listening and helps keep my attention. I have small, colorful journals for you if needed.

We talk for about an hour to an hour and a half. We focus on a couple of topics prompted by the conversation starters.

There is no prep required although I send some conversation starters ahead (and you can find them on the events page).

"I have never participated in a group-led discussion of that nature before (or at least not for a very long time.). I walked away with a sense that a door has been wedged open."
